464 Injuries Reported
There have been a rash of child product recalls of late.
The latest - Graco’s Harmony High Chairs are the subject of the latest recall by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The problem involves screws holding the front legs which can loosen allowing the chair to tip. Also the plastic bracket steadying the rear legs has a tendency to crack allowing the chair to tip.
1.2 million high chairs are affected.
The CPSC says Graco Children’s Products Inc. of Atlanta has received 464 reports of screws coming loose and the chairs tipping unexpectedly. 24 injuries have been reported to Graco. For the models involved see the CPSC Web site.
Consumers are asked to stop using the Harmony High Chair and contact Graco for a free repair kit. And the CPSC is still taking in any reports of injury or incidents involving this product.
Graco recently announced a recall of more than a million 2010 Passage Alano and Spree Strollers, as well as the 2009 Simplicity Bassinet Recall. #
