Jamie Leigh Jones Daigle still has not had her rape case heard by a jury because former employer KBR/Halliburton wants the issue to be decided by arbitration. Sen. Al Franken's amendment to next year's defense bill does away with arbitration for violent assault cases.

Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, has called for an inquiry to examine AIG’s handling of denied and delayed insurance claims for civilian contractors injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The CEO of Craigslist says he feel terribly about the crime that was committed with the help of Craigslist ads for erotic services. But this is not the first time the site has enabled criminal activity. Some states are asking the site to shut down its ads for the sex trade, while others are using the site to catch criminals.

Author and professor, William K. Black suspects that fraud, along with greed and incompetence, brought down the U.S. economy and plunged the U.S. economy into a recession. Black should know, he was a regulator during the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s, but he says this is much worse. He calls those in charge, "banksters".

AIG, the global insurance company, had to hire guards and lock its doors following death threats upon the news that top executives will receive bonuses, as part of the taxpayer bailout.
