Many jokes are going around about the nutritional content of SpaghettiOs which are now the subject of a Class I recall, the most serious, by the Department of Agriculture because some of the canned kid food may not have been properly cooked. No one has been made sick.

The Top Ten contaminated foods list is compiled by the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Modern agriculture, contaminated waste water, and dirty handling is blamed for many of the cases of bacterial contamination, and proposed improvements are pending in Congress.

40 people have been made sick by propofol, the same sedative reported to have been found in Michael Jackson's home. 57,000 vials have been recalled after a bacterial contamination was found. Although the number on the lot in Jackson's home reportedly did not match the recalled lot numbers, a contaminated sedative could cause serious problems.

Two years ago, Kayla Hess of West Palm Beach, Florida had an ongoing strep throat. A month of antibiotics didn't cure it, but staying off the Listerine Agent Cool Blue dental rinse did.  Now the 12-year-old has filed a lawsuit, but some parents say the reformulated product isn't much better.

A salmonella outbreak has hospitalized 67 people and sickened almost 400 around the country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is not mentioning the states hit so far, but 42 states have reported cases.
