On the second day of a hearing by the National Transportation Safety Board into a February air crash that killed 49, revelations show that long commutes, low salaries, and pilot fatigue constituted a “winking and nodding” at passenger safety.
Continental Connection Bombardier Q400 pilot Capt. Marvin Renslow, had not been adequately trained in auto-pilot and de-icing systems say family members of the 49 people who were killed on Flight 3407 last February. Pilot error and procedures will be the focus of a three-day NTSB hearing.
