Twitter, a popular micro-blogging service is growing like wildfire. But as popular, fun and helpful as Twitter can be, some observers say the service has become a hotbed of unnecessary hype and misinformation. Case in point - the swine flu outbreak. Some say, unofficial news on Twitter may lead people to make unwise decisions.

Blame it on the Internet. Juries are increasingly found to search for information outside of the evidence presented in a courtroom, a violation of the rules. Some even choose to become a mini-broadcaster to their own Twitter accounts. The end result  - more mistrials.
