Court documents released Monday help tell the story of a cocktail of drugs and half dozen doctors attending to Michael Jackson to help him fight insomnia. Propofol and a dozen other drugs led to his death, and Jackson becomes one of more than 20,000 deaths a year due to prescription drugs.

40 people have been made sick by propofol, the same sedative reported to have been found in Michael Jackson's home. 57,000 vials have been recalled after a bacterial contamination was found. Although the number on the lot in Jackson's home reportedly did not match the recalled lot numbers, a contaminated sedative could cause serious problems. 

A number of doctors warn that the sedative drug, Diprivan, is not for home use. A study two years ago found a 100 percent death rate for most abusers. Michael Jackson's dermatologist tells CNN he never gave it to Jackson, although Diprivan was reportedly found in the home at the time of his death.

Michael Jackson reportedly wanted the sedative, Diprivan so he could sleep, his personal nurse reports. He told her he was experiencing both hot and cold sides of his body days before his death, the same symptoms that sparked an FDA ALERT concerning Diprivan two years ago, IB News finds in this exclusive report.
