A study out of the University of Arizona and Loma Linda University, finds that reusable, cloth grocery bags sometimes harbor dangerous foodborne bacteria such as E. coli and coliform from raw-meat.

A massive beef recall in California was discovered in a packing house in products distributed throughout California as far back as 2008.

20,000 pounds of beef have been recalled by Cargill, based in Fresno, California over concerns of salmonella. Two people have already become sick over the bacterial contamination. Last August, Cargill recalled almost 826,000 pounds contaminated with the same strain which tends to be antibiotic resistant.

Linda Rivera has been hospitalized since last May from eating raw cookie dough contaminated with E. coli 0157. With her condition worsening, her chance for recovery looks slim. 80 others suffered some form of sickness from the contaminated dough.
