A two-year study of a drug that previously showed some potential for helping people with Lou Gehrig's disease or ALS, found that it gave no benefit at all, researchers said. The study is published in the November issue of the journal Neurology.

Monsanto insists sales for its bovine growth hormone are better than ever, but despite that the company is divesting itself of Posilac, announcing today that division is for sale. Posilac was the first in a long line of genetically engineered products the company had pinned its hopes on. Now it will focus on GE seeds.

Stanford University researchers wanted to know if taking human growth hormone or HGH translates into building a better athlete. Basically the answer is no, the muscle doesn't necessarily perform better, but there is more lean body mass.
