His jailers didn't and instead pepper sprayed him into compliance. Then he died. His death has been ruled a homicide, the officers involved cleared and notice of a federal lawsuit has been filed.

When seven-year-old Gabriel Myers hanged himself in a foster care home, Florida immediately conducted an audit on how many kids, like Gabriel, were on mind-altering drugs.  Up to three times the general population are put on psychiatric drugs with the numbers increasing to one-in-three among teens in group homes.  

When it comes to antidepressants – Zoloft and Lexapro are at the top of the treatment list of a dozen medications. Italian researchers studied the records of 25,000 patients, and reviewed 117 studies.  Patient advocates say don't give up hope of finding help.
