Court documents released Monday help tell the story of a cocktail of drugs and half dozen doctors attending to Michael Jackson to help him fight insomnia. Propofol and a dozen other drugs led to his death, and Jackson becomes one of more than 20,000 deaths a year due to prescription drugs.

40 people have been made sick by propofol, the same sedative reported to have been found in Michael Jackson's home. 57,000 vials have been recalled after a bacterial contamination was found. Although the number on the lot in Jackson's home reportedly did not match the recalled lot numbers, a contaminated sedative could cause serious problems.

A number of doctors warn that the sedative drug, Diprivan, is not for home use. A study two years ago found a 100 percent death rate for most abusers. Michael Jackson's dermatologist tells CNN he never gave it to Jackson, although Diprivan was reportedly found in the home at the time of his death.

The doctor who was Michael Jackson's personal physician says he never injected him with the highly addictive Demerol about an hour before his death.  The family wants to know why the doctor failed to sign a death certificate and went missing after Jackson died.

What caused Michael Jackson’s apparent cardiac arrest won’t be known for weeks, but what is known is that only about one in five survive unless a defibrillator and CPR is used immediately.  More advanced emergency care involves lowering the body temperature to minimize brain damage.

The medical examiner will run toxicology tests on superstar, Michael Jackson, to determine if an addiction to pain and prescription medications led to his death.  The family lawyer says Michael was surrounded by enablers and that Jackson was "overmedicated".
