The mom convicted last November of bullying a teenage girl on MySpace, driving her to the point of suicide, was acquitted by a Los Angeles judge Thursday, who called the laws used "vague and flawed".

The FDA has received so many reports of Chantix and Zyban users experiencing depression, hostility, agitation, and suicidal thoughts and commiting acts of suicide, that today the agency issued a Public Health Advisory that the smoking cessation drugs will be required to carry a stronger warning label.

Amber Suriani liked what she heard. Turning 40 and suffering the inconvenience of a light case of urinary incontinence, she liked hearing there was a quick fix – a sling would be placed under her urethra and she would be back to practicing karate the same week. Instead she's filing suit.

A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Armando Hernandez, a mentally challenged 21-year-old, who was the subject of staff induced beatings between residents, that's been dubbed "The Fight Club" by the media.  Texas has immunity from lawsuits, but the smoking gun is the video captured by cell phones belonging to the state.

In one of the largest imaging studies on whether depression runs in families - researchers find that a thinning in the right hemisphere of the brain appeared to be linked to a risk of depression.

FDA reviewers have not found an association between Singulair and suicidal thoughts and mood changes. One year ago, some suicides were thought to be linked to Singulair and other the allergy meds, so much so that drug makers were required to update their labels warning of a possible link.

Former Judge Roy L. Pearson will not get a new trial over the valuable pants he used to own. The D.C. Court of Appeals on Thursday rejected his request to overturn a ruling that denied him damages. The former Judge argued the dry cleaner sign said “Satisfaction Guaranteed”  - to the tune of $54 million. Finally, three appellate judges agreed that Pearson’s argument defied logic.

U.S. health regulators are requiring manufacturer's of twenty-one anti-seizure drugs to add a warning about increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors (suicidality) to the products’ prescribing information and labeling.

Lori Drew was convicted by a Los Angeles jury of three misdemeanor counts for the internet hoax that led to a 13-year-old girl's suicide. She could have spent 20 years in prison.  The precedent setting case has established law in the area of cyberbullying.

Banzel (rufinamide) has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an added treatment for a severe form of epilepsy known as Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. This approval offers another treatment option for those patients who suffer from these debilitating, severe seizures.

The first day of the cyberbullying trial of a mother, sounded more like a murder trial of a 13-year old girl who killed herself after being harassed online. The case will set a legal precedent for cyberbulling, which impacts about 40 percent of teenage girls.

Judge Roy Pearson's pants are still missing, and so is his job, but that didn't stop the former administrative law judge from Washington D.C. from appearing before an appellate panel to ask to revive his $54 million lawsuit against the dry cleaners that allegedly misplaced the pants.
