The USDA is urging consumers to thoroughly cook frozen chicken dinners after 32 people in 12 states were sickened with salmonella poisoning.

Touching dry pet food or pet treats can be hazardous to your health.  Salmonella bacteria has been found in lots of dry food that went to 19 states in 2006 and 2007. It did not make pets sick but sickened humans. You're urged to wash hands after touching pet treats or food.
