They pledge to wait until marriage to have sex, but more often than not, teens who made that pledge were as likely to have intercourse as other U.S. adolescents, according to a new study.
The patient was a 35-year-old apparently healthy and nonsmoking woman. But she showed signs of a stroke – her speech was slurred and the left side of her face became weak. Her symptoms began minutes after having intercourse. Turns out she had a defect in the heart which predisposed her to stroke. One in four people may have an undiagnosed hole in the heart.
