Researchers from the University of Rochester believe there may be a way to reduce damage in a spinal cord injury, if a form of blue dye is injected almost immediately. The downside is that you may turn blue temporarily.

A Dallas Cowboys staff member was left paralyzed and two other team staffers remain hospitalized following the facility collapse on Saturday, which is now the subject of a federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigation, authorities said.

You’ve seen the warning lights in the airplane bathroom during turbulence,“Return to your Seat".  A Texas woman was thrown into the ceiling and broke her neck during a Saturday flight over Houston. She suffered the same sort of break as the late actor Christopher Reeve and is undergoing surgery to try and correct the paralysis.

The numbers are astonishing and about 40 percent more than previously thought. More than 5 million live with some paralysis and are fighting with not only their condition but frequently with access to resources, jobs, insurance, and rehabilitation, making this a civil rights issue says the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

The California Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a woman who pulled her friend out of a car after an accident isn't immune from civil liability because the care she provided wasn't medical.
