The University of Minnesota’s Stroke Research Center studied 4,435 people between the ages of 30 and 75. Those who have never owned a cat had a 40 percent greater risk of heart attack than cat owners. Additionally there was a 30 percent increase in death from cardiovascular diseases among non cat owners.
