Savana Redding's strip search by a middle school nurse and secretary was unconstitutional, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled today, despite the school's zero-tolerance policy toward drugs.  The ruling will affect school districts across the country trying to crack down on drug use.

The Merck drug featured in the “One Less” campaign has been updated to receive a warning about the potential for fainting after some young teens suffered jerking movements and seizures after being inoculated. Add that to the more than 13,000 adverse events reported including 39 deaths in the three years since the drug has been on the market.

So far text messaging while driving is banned in 13 states with more states likely to join as the death count mounts from the dangerous activity.

Florida legislators want to restrict the use of tanning beds for teens under the age of 18. Miss Florida Teen USA, Kayla Collier also supports the proposal after she was diagnosed with melanoma she believes came from a tanning salon.

Online social networking site, MySpace has purged 90,000 registered sex offenders from its site at the urging of  the attorneys general from Connecticut and North Carolina.  Facebook says it has its own system for monitoring users. Online bullying is a far more prevalent problem, experts say.
