 Eating ground beef packaged from Valley Meats LLC during March is very likely to make your sick, reports the USDA which has initiated a recall of nearly 96,000 pounds of ground beef.   Look for various brand names the meat was distributed under.

Return frozen packages of Lean Cuisine to the grocery store if you have any doubt whether it is included in a recall after plastic was found in seven dinners. The USDA is overseeing the Nestle product recall of 900,000 pounds.

Amphibians are being killed by a cocktail of common pesticides that blend downstream. They are considered a foreshadow of human harm. In the meantime, the USDA has stopped issuing reports of national pesticide use, saving $8 million.

A nicotine-based pesticide, neonicotinoid, may explain the collapse of bee colonies. The insecticides, made by Bayer and Syngenta, move through a plant’s vascular system.  Bees pick up the pollen from the plants, which may impact their immune system and behavior.  Billions in agriculture, such as fruits and nuts, are at stake.

11 states are removing beef from store shelves after an E. coli contamination was announced by federal officials.  The recall is being conducted by JSM Meat Holdings of Chicago. The beef products are distributed under different brand names.  The USDA reported Friday that no illnesses had been reported.
