The World Health Organization says the swine flu is "unstoppable" and that healthcare workers should be the first ones vaccinated. This influenza is different from seasonal flu in that it affects young people, the severely obese, and adults and strikes deep in the lungs and drug makers are receiving millions to formulate a vaccine.

Mexico City is imposing new rules that keep people away from each other in normally crowded places such as restaurants and movie theatres -  all to stop the spread of the swine flu that has killed 42 in that country.

Influenza experts are on alert and standby in case they are needed to advise the World Health Organization. The influenza is confirmed in 331 people. Ten have died.  In the U.S., the CDC there are 141 cases and one confirmed death.

Patient Zero, a Mexican boy who lives near an industrialized pig farm, has been identified as the first person to have the swine flu which he contracted back in March.  Meanwhile, a toddler from Mexico has become the first U.S. casualty of the H1N1 influenza.

Whole Foods Market issued a voluntarily recall of 1.2 million pounds of fresh ground beef in 21 states due to possible E. Coli contamination. Seven customers in Massachusetts have been reported ill from a strain of E. Coli and people in 11 other states and Canada.
